CPMI Research Validates Objective Testing Long Deemed “Unnecessary” by the DOJ
A new peer‑reviewed study in the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Practice confirms that electrodiagnostic and autonomic testing (SSR, NCSEMG, HRV) are essential parts of safe, evidence‑based pain management. Drawing on over 2,000 studies in 847 high‑risk patients, CPMI researchers found that these tests reveal real neuropathic and autonomic abnormalities and reduce opioid use by roughly 42%—contradicting earlier DOJ claims that such testing was “not medically necessary.”
